A while after I moved here in 1981, I wandered into Ernst on the off-chance they could tell me where to get a new seal for a 50's era pressure cooker that had once belonged to my mother. Mr. Ernst looked at the top, pointed to a rack and said, yeah, he had one right there. I was blown away. Any time I needed something vintage or unusual, Ernst was the first place I went.

Every once in a while our Government has to remind me I'm in Kansas.

This is one of the nicest pictures I have ever seen of Downtown. I really don't have a problem with building height, provided there is adequate parking and traffic control. It also helps if there are adequate amenities (groceries and pharmacies, etc.) so that residents won't have to drive around to get to them.

Oh, good. I was afraid they weren't considering taking away parking. They really don't want those of us who live on the West side to spend our money Downtown, do they.

What's causing us harm is incompetent people spending our tax money on stupid stuff, and not keeping track of who owes us money and collecting it.

I wish WE had streetlights to complain about.

When it is dependent on a Governor to issue an executive order to guarantee the rights of all Kansas residents instead of actual legislated guarantees, then it shows there is a more deep seated problem than one leader.
