In my humble opinion, this would be an appropriate use of the sales tax exemption - much more so than the breaks for building apartments downtown!

I agree. Stop saying "IF" these allegations are true. They are verified and provide no gain for the women involved. Do not let Roy Moore get away with this behavior. Set the tone for men everywhere and stand up for what it right!

I worked at a drug store soda fountain while I was in high school in the 60's. Alias, soda jerk. Should I apply for a consulting job? :) This sounds like a wonderful idea for Lawrence. Happy to hear of your plans.

I think this is a wonderful idea - an even better one would be for them to do this building, then build a new store in North Lawrence. Aldi is the place to shop for economical, quality food. (There is room just north of the current Sonic). Please, please, please!

I love Lawrence too! Diversity and acceptance are the keys to a healthy, loving life.

Congratulations, Pat! You truly are a pioneer in Pharmacy services to inpatients. Thank you for your (so far) unending efforts to improve patient care.

We simply must NOT allow this dictatorial, uninformed man to remain in a position of authority and he most certainly should NOT be elected to governor. Please, people, use your heads and do everything you can to oppose ALEC and their "chosen" from gaining power. Our existence as Kansans with common sense depends on it.

Forget dealing with Compton and the gang. I agree that it is likely that the grocery store would fail and they would again have won tax incentives (even though that groups seems to "forget" to pay THEIR taxes).

Instead, I would love to see ALDI build a store north of the Sonic in North Lawrence. Close vicinity to downtown, would catch commuters and their quality priced items are great. As far as I'm concerned, ALDI is a well kept secret that needs to be let out of the bag.

Trader Joe's in the Tanger Mall would also be a workable solution, but I fear the market area is small for their needs.

We need a grocery store in this food desert, but not at the expense of huge, long-lasting tax incentives for a group that exploits incentives right and left.
