Honestly, I was bummed by the episode. Think it got worked up locally to be this big thing...then two calls and done. Was definitely with a "Was that it?!" feeling when the show was over.

I'm all for good car washes, but that is a terrible spot for one. Hopefully the city denies the re-zoning request.

A lot of ignorant comments in here in regards to Mr Booth. Thanks to him we have the great addition to Allen Fieldhouse, the original rules of basketball on display, soon to be upgraded Memorial Stadium and more I'm likely forgetting. He has helped spur a lot of development to keep KU's sports facilities top notch.
People can try to deny it all they want, but sports are extremely important on a local, national and worldwide level. Sports are a source of pride for undergrads and alums. KU athletics are also the first taste many people get of our university.

Baseball and volleyball upgrades are part of the overall $350 million project...not the $50 million donation from Mr. Booth.

Stop signs do not belong at intersections with traffic circles/roundabouts. Period. It completely goes against what the thing is there for to begin with!
While I can sympathize with the mother looking out for her child, this solution isn’t the right one. The city could have tried a host of other things...rumble strips, speed humps, etc.
I’m biased to begin with since I feel stop signs are grossly overused as it is. This use just makes my head want to explode.

Your way of thinking is what will keep Kansas City from ever being more than a spot in the middle of the map. Kansas City needs a new airport and the voters will do the right thing on Tuesday voting yes.
The current airport is horrible. From the lack of seating space waiting on planes to the multiple security points to the lack of bathrooms and food options past security. List goes on and on. Flew just a couple weeks ago and had to listen to flight crews literally laughing about how terrible the airport is. They aren't wrong.
The new airport won't be some large sprawling airport like Dallas or Atlanta. People will still be able to go from their cars to their gates in ~10 minutes. No different than today. Pretty laughable thinking the new airport will seem empty too.

While that is true, I want people driving on city streets to stay awake. Make it as blue as possible.

Very doubtful. Applebee's is in a slow free fall and is closing restaurants across the country. Several have closed over here in the KC Metro recently as well.

And the state rejoices!

Slim Chickens is the winner IMO. Raising Cane's toast and crinkle fries are better, but the chicken, wings and the Cayene Ranch Chicken Sandwich at Slim Chickens put it over the top. Zaxby's is a distant third.
