If those sackers stay in Lawrence after getting a degree, they will probably still be sacking groceries. Yeah, you got to love this town!

It's time to send Sen. Pat Roberts home. Oh that's right, he doesn't have a home in Kansas; he has a recliner in a supporter's home on a golf course! Look it up!

The Salvation Army has been trying to build their building on Haskell Ave for years. All this time, concerned neighbors have voice their opposition to this We are concerned about the homeless roaming our neighborhoods. The Salvation Army turned a deaf ear to us. Now that we have Burroughs Creek Trail, the possibility of this is much more likely to occur. Why was there no mention of this opposition in the article?

Maybe the city should consider having a chat with Mr. Logan, owner of the Granada. Seems like a lot of undesirables head to Lawrence when their favorite entertainers are appearing at the Granada. If he takes exception then close it down! Downtown Lawrence, which has had a popular reputation, is headed tor some serious image problems. It's bad enough with all the panhandling done on Mass. St.

Why don't we let the students run the city. They can have their weekly meeting right after recess.

Did the actors in the Greek play step out of the script to challenge a member of the audience? I think not. So, in a way, you are comparing apples with oranges. I assume Mr. Pence was not offered the opportunity to address his accusers. What a tragedy even though it was not Greek.

Why on earth have the thing anyway? You have a covered parking garage next to the library which is very senior friendly. Then you put this stupid rink in. Why not just cover the area so seniors don't have to go out in the elements in the winter to get from the parking garage to the library.
