“Had Topeka police exercised restraint, Dominique would be alive with us today.” - Molly White
If Dominique had never committed a crime he wouldn't have been on probation to begin with and might be alive with us today.
If Dominique had not fired a gun, and been under the influence of meth and pot, violating his probation and committing yet another felony Dominique might be alive today.
If Dominique had obeyed commands of the officers, given up his illegally obtained weapon and faced the consequences of his previously poor decision making, he might be alive today.
There are so many more statements of personal responsibility that could be made that would end up with Dominique still be alive and with his family today but too few are willing to take into account that it is quite often the "victim's" own actions that lead them to become the "victim".

Are you talking about the kid "clearing" his gun or Gary?

Some paras are underpaid, others milk the system for everything they can. Not clocking out for lunch or to run errands. Sleeping in the classroom during their teacher's planning time. You name some of them are taking advantage.

Many districts in the KC metro are making the kids bring in liability waivers. Sad that it would come to that, but not a bad idea overall.

The timing and lack of transparency is a joke. This move had to have been in the works prior to the bond election. This type of move could have had an impact on that election - and with all of the other crap going on (teachers & staff leaving left and right, lack of accountability for the tablets and macs purchased for the 1-1, lack of discipline for fear of hurting someones feelings or to avoid paperwork that makes a school or the district look bad) it should have had a rougher run than what it did. Did the board discuss the way the tolerant and inclusive folks of our fair city have already run off the new principal for Sunset Hill or did it pretty much center on this job? Was this job ever published for other people to apply? What if there is someone more qualified?

IF the accusations are true, I wouldn't want this player representing the university that I cheer for on a regular basis. IF they are true though, why make your case through the media instead of the legal system and why is the lawyer you keep referring the media to staying mum? What you have going on right now is someone throwing excrement at the wall to see how much will stick. In the mean time you are dragging potentially innocent people through the pile of crap building up at the base of that wall.

The source sounds like the dad of jilted jersey chaser. The fact that both of these stories involve one player in particular and an unnamed source is providing these leads makes you go hmmmmmm.

Quite the party those young folks were having looking at the corner of the table the male cheerleaders are standing by in the photo. Based on the rules they are supposed to abide by, that alone could get them suspended. Add in the racists commentary and they could find themselves in some deep trouble in regards to even staying in school.

This is an ongoing situation with this location. My child worked there for about two months before giving notice. My kid didn't report anything because of other friends working there and trying to protect them from any fallout they might have suffered as a result.
Sounds like it is time for the MANY former employees to let the owners know what is going on in their establishment.
