Question

Sound Off: Can you register for the November election to vote by mail yet?

Answer

The Douglas County Clerk’s office is accepting applications for advance voting by mail. The office will send out ballots beginning Oct. 17. Applications are available via douglas-county.com, the Kansas Secretary of State’s website or in person at the clerk’s office, 1100 Mass., and can be emailed, mailed or faxed in, as long as they carry the applicant’s signature.

Another election where most who vote in Kansas will still vote for the GOP, the Greedy Old Plutocrat party.

Everybody should try turbovote.com. Not just does it register you online, but it also sends you your ballot when it's time to vote. They'll also send you text reminders of deadlines. Just a great organization working for a great cause.

if you have children, please take them to the polls with you on election day - get them to participate in Kansas kids voting. It's a great way to show your children that participating in this civic duty is important to you and is a part of being a good community member.
