Question

Sound Off: Does daylight saving time end before or after Halloween?

Answer

We return to standard time on the first Sunday in November; this year that’s Nov. 4. You will “gain” an extra hour by setting clocks back at 2 a.m. Nov. 4 (or before you go to bed).
Until 2006, the time change took place on the last Sunday of October. Daylight saving time was extended, starting earlier and ending later, in 2007.

I remember when we first started daylight savings time, a lady wrote a letter to the editor (not LJW) complaining we should not be messing with God's time. Not sure what time zone God's Timex watch was set on anyway! LOL LOL LOL!

I second that emotion! PICK A TIME, STAY WITH IT I'll stop yelling now. But blame it on Ben Franklin or not, the American electorate (that's you) can get it eradicated.

Sometimes the questions for this are really good and useful. Other times, I think that the person could just use Google, or look at a calendar. This is one of those times...

When told the reason for daylight saving time the old Indian said"Only the government would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket".
