Is the city going to have an electronic recycling event this fall?
Yes. It’s from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Free State High School parking lot, 4700 Overland Drive. Here’s what’s accepted: computers, monitors, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, televisions, video and audio equipment, cellphones and microwaves. Here’s what’s not accepted: large appliances, such as refrigerators or air-conditioning units, and hazardous waste, such as fluorescent light bulbs.
It costs $10 to recycle a computer monitor and $15 to recycle a television. All other electronics are free.
