I have seen Angus Quigley’s name mentioned as part of KU’s Class of 2005 recruiting class. If that’s true, that means this is Quigley’s sixth year of eligibility and the NCAA rule is that an athlete compete for four seasons in a five-year span. Was Quigley actually part of the Class of 2006 or is Kansas playing with an ineligible player?

Neither. Quigley, sidelined by injury in both 2005 and 2006, applied for and was granted a sixth year to complete his fourth season of competition under an exception known as a medical hardship. Quigley ranks second on the team to James Sims (435 rushing yards) with 230 yards rushing and is fifth on the team with 152 receiving yards.
