Question

I thought I saw a city street crew out working at night filling a pothole. Do city street crews fill potholes at night?

Answer

There are times that they do, said Chuck Soules, the city’s director of public works. The city does not regularly have a pothole crew working at night, but Soules said there are times that a pothole develops on a major road at night and is deemed a significant safety hazard by police. At that point, a city crew sometimes is called in to fix the hole during the night if traffic can’t be easily diverted around the hole.
