What is meant by the term “snow showers”? Is it more snow than snow flurries?


Matt Elwell, 6News meteorologist, said, “Meteorologists use the term snow showers to describe short durations or bursts of light to moderate snowfall that may leave snow accumulation on the ground. Flurries would typically describe a light snow with no accumulation or a light dusting. In many cases, the term ‘snow shower’ and ‘flurry’ could be interchangeable.”
