Where is the best place to park and walk through the Baker Wetlands?
The Baker Wetlands has two entrances. The north entrance, which provides easy access to the boardwalk, is on the south side of 31st Street — halfway between Louisiana Street and Haskell Avenue. From 31st Street turn onto a gravel road. Cars can be parked along the edge of the road.
A parking area big enough for six vehicles is at the east entrance, which is along Haskell Avenue about a half-mile south of 31st Street. This entrance is closest to the picnic pavilion.
Both entrances provide access to the network of trails that span the Baker Wetlands.
