Question

Who will hire someone with a felony conviction regardless of what the matter was, or how long it’s been? Even if it has been 10 or 14 years ago, they’re still refusing to hire. Is this discrimination?

Answer

According to federal and state laws, past criminal convictions are not a protected category against employment discrimination. That means employers may set their own policies for whether to hire people with criminal convictions.
