Where did the money come from for the two high school football fields being built?


“The approximate $14.4 million to improve the safety, equity and quality of the high school outdoor athletic facilities used by football, track, physical education classes, marching band, tennis, soccer, baseball and softball comes from three sources: lease agreements ($9 million), 2005 bond issue funds remaining after the completion of projects ($4.8 million) and the district’s capital outlay fund ($555,000). All costs are estimates at this time,” said Kathy Johnson, the school district’s division director of finance.
