I'm going to eat as many hot dogs and hamburgers as I can, maybe some potato salad as well. Then I'm going to sing the national anthem as fireworks explode over the porta John that I will undoubtedly end up in.
I woke up this morning to the sound of the NPR staff reading the Declaration of Independence. Good way to start today's celebration. I am going to enjoy hot dogs, spend time with family and friends, and hopefully sit next to some young one who is ooing and awing over the fireworks, because I still do that after all these years, and I love to see the young kids reactions to their first display. It makes me feel young again.
And a big thanks to the Lawrence Jaycees for their display!!!
