“Charcoal. It adds flavor to the meat, and it’s more instinctual to cook with.”
Sarah McCall, typesetter, Lawrence
“Gas. We were given a gas grill for our wedding, so that’s what we use. It’s convenient and easy to use.”
Armon Pollack, office assistant, Lawrence
“Definitely charcoal. Who wants to have a perfectly evenly cooked burger anyway? That’s anti-barbecue.”
Renee Horinek, social worker, Lawrence
“Charcoal. It’s more rugged. I like to make s’mores a lot, and there’s something wrong with making s’mores on a gas grill. It’s just not right.”
Charcoal all the way with some lump charcoal mixed in!!!! I'm truly old school grill the burgers and dogs but cook raost ,brisket, pork, other than the ribs, low and slow.....sometimes upwards to 20 hours, been doing it this way for 25 years now!!!!!!!!!!

This is kansas.... the only way to grill is over burning copies of catcher in the rye and slaughter house five.
What!?! Go back to bed Marion, it's too early to be talking all technical like that.
We have a gas grill that we use frequently, but before I moved here I had a little Weber Charcoal grill that I loved. I wish I had brought it with me.
I want outdoor grills banned. They are dangerous.
Why do you feel it necessary to cut/paste this? If you really can't control the urge, please just use the link. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc...
You should be using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer anyway.
I love the flavor of charcoal, but use propane because it faster & easier (especially when grilling at least 3x per week). That's outside, but in the basement I prep the meat with a blow-torchkind of a blood brulee.
I use my gas grill several times a week. (Convenience and it keeps the heat outside.) BUT, I simply have to have those little charcoal shaped bricks (don't know what they're made of) in the bottom of my gas grill. There is no flavor without them. I also have some lava rocks in there.
My grill needed work done this last week. It's at least 10 years old and so I weighed the cost of replacing parts w/ getting a new grill. When I couldn't find any of the new gas grills with those bricks in them, I decided to do repairs. The in-laws have a big, fancy gas grill and the food is always flavorless. Even they agree that it was a bad purchase.
You did not get those from the ljworld. You got those from all the kiddie porn sites you have been visiting. Thanks
oh the debate charcoal or gas, at least it seems people are enjoying summer time, just remember sunscreen and plenty of water, also bug repellent
opps forgot charcoal only way to go
Definitely Charcol. I barbeque at least 3 times a week and wouldn't use anything else and have done so for years, even in winter, and I'm not sick from it yet. I like to life dangerously - I use tephlon pans, too. I do not fear death. Live fast, die young, and leave a good lookin' corpse. Though I have gotten past the live fast and and the young part, if I keep holding up I may still be able to leave a good lookin' corpse.
We are now using a gas grill. The last several years, we used an electric smoker. Add wood chips on the bottom, and the flavor was great. you can do that on most gas grills, too.
