Letter to the editor: Men’s tennis at KU

To the editor:

It’s time to restore the men’s tennis program at the University of Kansas. Most large universities have been able to maintain their men’s program along with the women’s, apparently by making the effort to manage and balance funding for both genders. KU has built a very nice large tennis facility for the women, and it seems to me that now is the time that it should be shared with men’s team tennis players.

The KU athletic department, for years, has successfully given its attention to building a world-class basketball program. Now, things should be balanced out.

Who doesn’t want to see the development and emergence of another Roger Federer right here on Mount Oread?
