Lawrence High’s Boye-Doe signs with Kansas State

Lawrence High senior football standout Ekow Boye-Doe signs his letter of intent before school on Wednesday to play football at Kansas State.

Taking advantage of the newly implemented early football signing period, Lawrence High senior Ekow Boye-Doe signed his letter of intent to play college football at Kansas State before school Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Boye-Doe, who will play defensive back, made his commitment official at 8:11 a.m. At cornerback, he led the Lions to a 5-5 record, recording 42 tackles and nine pass breakups.

A three-star prospect by Rivals, Boye-Doe saw his recruitment skyrocket over the summer after he was clocked at 4.36 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the Northwest Missouri State camp. Starting on both sides of the ball for LHS, he caught seven touchdown passes this season.

Boye-Doe, who couldn’t be reached for comment, signed with the Wildcats over offers from Kansas and Tulane, among others.
