The Lawrence school board will have a town hall meeting Thursday to discuss the board's goals and other matters of public interest.

The event will be at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St.

School Board President Shannon Kimball said the board would update the public on the board’s 2017-2018 goals and would also welcome questions on any district-related topics.

Lawrence school superintendent and board members need to cancel their EBSCO subscriptions. These are streaming porn in to the classrooms - they are also linking the school libraries to the Lawrence Public Library which has the same "scholastic" databases. I don't know why Lawrence is behind with the news - there are literally dozens of news stories from all over the U.S. describing the horrors of these (Academic Search, Consumer Health, Explora, MasUltra, Masterfile, Novelist, etc). If the school doesn't know - perhaps they are just trusting their librarians. If the librarians don't know, then they must be asleep at the switch! The porn is so easy to find - we quickly located hundreds of obscene and pornographic results and even live links to hard core porn sites. This was reported by Mass Resistance almost a year ago and by now, EBSCO has been added to the Dirty Dozen list by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. If the schools wont stop this outrage - then they need to be transparent - parents are trusting the schools - they have no idea that the schools are leading the kids to porn through phony "scholastic" databases. By the way THIS STUFF IS GOING RIGHT THROUGH THE LIBRARY AND SCHOOL FILTERS - The National Center talks about that on their website and in some of the news stories, the EBSCO products are designed to be shielded from filtering. Here is the link to the National Center
