Erin Lesley Cottrell, daughter of Kevin and Gwen Tucker of Topeka, KS, and Keith Allen Larkin, son of Raymond and Gloria Larkin of Hoisington, KS, were joined in marriage on October 10th at Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish in Topeka, KS. The ceremony was officiated by Father Greg Hammes. The bride holds a bachelor's degree in English/Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas. The groom holds a Masters of Education from the University of Kansas and a Masters of Special Education from Penn State. The couple reside in the Kansas City Metro area.

Dan and Kristin Wethington of Lawrence are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Nicole Wethington, to Daniel Hunter Clausing, son of Kathy Clausing-Willis and Jerry Willis, and Kurt Clausing and Lana Britz. The bride is the granddaughter of David and Marcelyn Bangle and Robert and Lois Wethington. The groom is the grandson of the late Ernest and Betty Waner and Nancy Clausing and the late Richard Clausing. The couple are both 2012 graduates of Lawrence Free State High School. The future bride is currently attending the University of Arkansas and will graduate in May, 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology. The future groom attends Kansas State University and is studying Electrical Engineering/Pre-Med. He will graduate in May, 2017 and they both plan to pursue graduate degrees. A June 2016 wedding is planned in Lawrence, at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

It is with great joy that Cal and Jan Karlin of Lawrence, and Kirk and Susie May of Kansas Cit,y announce the engagement of their children, Katelin Miller Karlin and Blake Joseph May. Katelin is a graduate of Free State High School and the University of Kansas, and received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado. She is employed as a Clinical Practice Consultant with United Healthcare in Kansas City. Blake is a graduate of Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri and received his Masters Degree from The University of Missouri- Kansas City Henry W. Bloch School of Management. He is employed as a Risk Management Consultant with Brush Creek Partners. A June 2016 wedding is planned in Kansas City.

She is employed at Amarr Entrematic in the Human Resources office. The groom to be is the son of Mark Whittemore and Annita Verdict. He is also employed at Amarr Entrematic as a Service Manager. The couple is planning an April 30th wedding in Lawrence, KS.

Annie Treanor is pleased to announce the engagement of Angela Yu and Connor Treanor, both of New Haven, CT. Angela is the daughter of Vicky Wang and Peter Yu of South Barrington, Illinois. She is a graduate of Barrington High School and Yale University, with a degree in Biology and is currently employed at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale. Connor is the son of Debra Baker and Jim Alldritt, and Mike and Teresa Treanor, all of Lawrence, KS. He is a graduate of Free State High School, Baker University, and the University of Kansas School of Architecture, and is employed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects in New Haven, CT. A spring 2017 wedding is planned in Chicago.

Kelly Kay Colle and Alexander Ardong were united in marriage on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at eleven o'clock" in the morning at Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas. The ceremony was officiated by the bride's father, Britt Colle. Music for the ceremony was performed by Elizabeth Nech. The bride's parents hosted a buffet luncheon and reception in the Kansas Room at the Kansas Union. On the eve of the wedding, the bride's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bigg's Barbeque in Lawrence, Kansas. Escorted by her parents, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini ivory/champagne ball gown with an organza ruffled skirt and chapel train. The strapless bodice featured intricately designed beaded Venice lace applique and corset detailing. The gown was complimented by four veils. The bride carried a hand tied natural style bouquet of coral peonies, peach roses, ranunculas, coral hypericum and coral spray roses. Ashley Frields served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Jessica Cooper, Dawn Lewis and Sarah Mills. All are from McPherson, Kansas. Junior bridesmaids were Asia and Jade Byer of Lawrence, Kansas, cousins of the groom. The flower girls were Jazmyn Byer and Sienna St. John of Lawrence and Overland Park, Kansas, cousins of the groom. The bridesmaids wore floor-length satin gowns in navy and coral. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of coral and peach roses, spray roses and coral hypericum. The groom wore his Navy uniform. James Hutton, Jr. served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Thomas Albin and Dennis Lohman, all from Lawrence, Kansas. The best man and groomsmen wore light gray tuxedos. The ring bearer was Max St. John, cousin of the groom, from Overland Park, Kansas. At five o'clock in the evening on Saturday, April 4, 2015, a traditional Laotian marriage ceremony was performed at the Lenexa Community Center in Lenexa, Kansas. The bride wore a handmade silk Sinh and sash with traditional cone hair piece and gold jewels. The groom wore a handmade silk Salong and sash. The groom's mother hosted a traditional Lao buffet dinner and reception at the same venue. Music for the dance was provided by the Moon Flower Band. The bride is the daughter of Britt and Linda Colle of McPherson, Kansas. She is the granddaughter of the late Winifred and Adeline Long and the late Calvin Colle and Ilamae Quinlan. The groom is the son of Anan Ardong and Souvanna Ardong of Lawrence, Kansas. He is the grandson of Muan Tubbs and Bouppha Sengsathevane both of Lawrence, Kansas and the late Kong Sengsathevane. The bride is a graduate of McPherson High School in McPherson, Kansas. She attended Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas. She is the Quality Compliance Coordinator for Learning Resources/Educational Insights in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The groom is a graduate of Free State High School in Lawrence and is a Petty Officer Second Class in the United States Navy. He is stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. The couple honeymooned on a Disney cruise to the eastern Caribbean. They reside in Waukegan, Illinois.

The groom is the son of Valerie and Brad Walthall and Dale Benson. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School and the bride is also a 2005 graduate of Baldwin High School. Jessi works as a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. Stuart at Stuart Chiropractic Health Center in Lawrence. Alex served 4 years as an Army Specialist combat medic with the 1-22 Battalion, 4th Infantry Division. He served one combat tour in Baghdad, Iraq March 2008-March 2009. Alex currently works as an electrician for Lynn Electric in Lawrence. The couple plan to be married September 3, 2016 at Stony Pointe Hall, Baldwin City, Kansas.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Eileen Phillips, Lawrence, KS. The groom is the son of Brad and Dayle Reynolds, Leavenworth, KS. The Maid of Honor was Mallory Stecki, friend of the bride. The best man was Doug Reynolds, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Sarah Burkhead, Bailey Carlson, Caroline Reynolds, Shelby Ziegler, Jennifer Reynolds, Paige Reynolds, and junior bridesmaid, Molly Lechner, cousin of the bride. Groomsmen were Tom Reynolds, John Edmonds, Garrick Gehrt, Logan Ryan, Tylor McNeil, Colin Phillips and Lance Fink. The ring bearers were Hayden and Ethan Reynolds, nephews of the couple. The bride and groom graduated from Washburn University in 2012. The bride has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Media. She is employed by the University of Saint Mary as an admissions counselor. The groom has a Bachelor’s degree in History and is co-owner of Green Thumbs Up Produce, LLC. In Leavenworth. The couple honeymooned in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico and now reside in Leavenworth, KS.

Coffman

Wayne and Janel Coffman of rural Baldwin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 29th. They were married on Kansas Day, 1966. Three children blessed their marriage: twins Curtis (who went to be with the Lord in 2009) and Jay of Baldwin, and Melanie of Shawnee, KS. Wayne, a KU graduate, retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2004 having worked for nearly 37 years as an electronics engineer. Janel recently received her 50 year medallion commemorating graduation from Stormont Vail School of Nursing in Topeka. The couple and their children celebrated by enjoying dinner on the Kansas Belle Dinner Train in Baldwin.
