Art and Dianne Lingle were married on August 2, 1975 at Danforth Chapel on the K.U. campus. Both are retired after long careers at K.U. They have five children, Vicki, Steven and Scott Eudaly, Becky Taylor and Tami Wilhite, nine grandchildren and three great-grandsons. A family celebration is planned for this weekend.
Hamilton and Belot
Cindy Langley Belot and Allen Belot of Lawrence are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katy Belot, to Barrett Hamilton, son of Rex and Cathy Hamilton of Lawrence. Katy graduated from Free State High School in 2000, earned a B.S. in political science from Texas Christian University in 2004 and a masters of international politics from The University of Melbourne in 2007. She is Vice-President, Education & Workforce at the Partnership for New York City. Barrett is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School and attended the University of Colorado/Boulder and Kansas University. He is a founder and co-owner of Bruekelen Build, a design-build firm in Brooklyn, New York. The couple is planning a late October wedding in Lawrence.
Hadl and Coverdale
Steve and Connie Hadl of Baldwin City are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Hadl to Austin Coverdale, both of Olathe. The bride is a 2009 graduate of Baldwin High School. The groom is the son of Jeff and Whitney Coverdale, Holton, KS. Austin is a 2009 graduate of Holton High School and a 2013 graduate of Ottawa University. The couple plan an August 22, 2015 wedding in Edgerton, Kansas.
Leroy and Doris Bateson celebrate 65 years of "wedded bliss" having married August 6th, 1952 at North Lawrence Christian Church. Leroy is retired from Kansas Color Press and Douglas County Bank and Doris still assists Kahn and Associates during tax season. Leroy and Doris have been active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles throughout their marriage. They recently moved to Lawrence from their Lake Dabinawa home that they shared with family and friends for over 40 years. Son Eddie and wife Patti of Sheridan, Wy also celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this month. Daughter Dana and husband John reside here in Lawrence. They are blessed with four grandchildren Nicholas, Sharae, Ryan and Kelsey and six great grandchildren Kaden, Connor, Kohen, Kaia, Haven and Bristal.
Yulich and Becker
Jordan D. Yulich and Kristine A. Becker are pleased to announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Karen Becker and Kim Becker and is a 2009 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School. The future groom is the son of Mitch and Cindy Yulich. He is a 2009 graduate of Lawrence Free State High School. Jordan and Kristi received their Bachelors of Science in Education Degrees from Emporia State University where they met. Jordan is a 4th grade teacher in the Shawnee Heights District and Kristi is a 4th grade teacher in the Seaman School District. Jordan proposed to Kristi with the help of her 4th grade students this past November. The couple is planning their wedding for September 2015.

The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 2011 graduate of Kansas University's School of the Arts. She is a textile designer for women's clothing company Peruvian Connection. The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Newton High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Kansas. He owns and operates Sign Up, a full-service sign company in Lawrence. The couple plan an October 24, 2015, wedding at the Castle Tea Room in Lawrence.

Alison Paige Lungstrum and Brandon Kennedy Macneill were married on July 11, 2015 by the Honorable Kathryn H. Vratil, United States District Court Judge for the District of Kansas, at Mary's Lake Lodge in Estes Park, Colorado. The bride is an attorney at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Yale University, and received a juris doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law. She is the daughter of John and Linda Lungstrum of Lawrence, Kansas. The groom is the Executive Associate Athletics Director at Tulane University. He received a bachelor's degree in Communications from Tulane University, and received a master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Connecticut. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Macneill of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. After a honeymoon in Thailand, the couple reside in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A reception was held at the Rumely Tractor Event Space. The bride is the daughter of Mike & Lucy Crumet and John & Teresa White all of Lawrence. The groom is the son of Ken and Betsy Scott of Topeka, Kansas. The Matron of Honor was Anna Taylor, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jen Scott, Axah McCalla, Alicia Banister, Jessica Ely and Cara Knopke. The Best Man was Chris Scott, brother of the groom. Jim and Jill were joined in marriage on August 21, 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence, Kansas. They are both longtime Lawrence residents. It was here in Lawrence where Jim and Jill both met. They attended Lawrence High School and then the University of Kansas. Jim taught science for 3 years before becoming a successful self employed insurance agent through Farmers Insurance Group. He retired in 1997. Jill taught kindergarten before going to work for Southwestern Bell/AT&T, retiring in 2007. Jim and Jill have three wonderful children, James II, Chris, and Amy. They have 5 super wonderful grandchildren, Carter, Taylor, Alex, Grace, and Blake. Kelsey received her B.S.J. in News and Information from the University of Kansas in 2011, and she is employed as an administrative assistant at Pennington & Company. Grady received his A.A.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Johnson County Community College in 2012, and he is employed as an independent contractor for Trothart Renovations. The couple resides in Lawrence, and they are planning an October 2015 wedding.
Linda and Ronald Lash will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, August 29, 2015. They were high school sweethearts and married on August 28th, 1965. They have two daughters, Carole Lash and Kelli Curtiss, as well as three grandchildren. Bill and Jeanine Lienhard were married on August 27, 1955 in Wichita, KS. They enjoyed a small family celebration with daughters Julie and Betsy. Their son-in-law Bruce, granddaughter Jessica, her fiancé Tim and grandson Cody.

The groom is the son of Tim and Debbie Green, Lawrence, KS. Grandparents of the bride are Ed and Dorothy Younger, Gial Kaegi and the late Marge Kaegi. Grandparents of the groom are Don and Mary Kay Craig, Mary Green and the late Pat Green. The Matron of Honor was Megan Leiker, sister of the bride. The best man was Jake Green, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Molly Green, sister of the groom, Becca Sheldon-Sherman, Emily Laskowski, Kristen Lyrek, and Melissa Blessen. Groomsmen were John Kaegi, brother of the bride, Travis Gage, Tony Williams, Kyle Craig, and Nathan Padia. The ushers were Patrick Leiker, Tucker Swanson and Johnny Novotny. Rachel is employed by KPMG as the Campus Recruiting Manager and Daniel is employed by Command Transportation as an Account Executive, both in the Kansas City area. They reside in Prairie Village, KS.
Billy and Debbie Skeet of Tonganoxie Kansas, are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The couple were married August 30th 1965 in Oklahoma, with a reception hosted by their parent's Harry and Audrey Skeet, and Thomas and Delores Dolan at the Reno Methodist Church. The couple have two children, Rebecca Grube, and Steven Skeet , and four Grandchildren. The family celebrated the occasion by taking a trip to Branson Missouri.
