James (Junior) and Glenda (Gilges) McDaniels, Baldwin City, KS are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married October 4, 1964 at Worden EUB & are now retired & live on their farm southwest of Baldwin City. The couple has 3 children: Kevin & Stacy McDaniels, JD & Stacey Dressler & Stephanie Kurtz. They are the proud grandparents of: Jesse & Maggie McDaniels, Elley McDaniels; Macie, Miles & Millie Dressler & Kayla Kurtz. A family celebration is planned. Jack and Pat Hohman will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on October 4. They met in Emporia, Kansas and married in Kansas City, KS after Jack returned from Vietnam in 1969. They then moved to Lawrence in 1971 after Jack graduated from Emporia State University. Jack is retired from the State of Kansas, and Pat is the Diabetic Educator at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Celebrating with them are their daughter and her husband, Staci and Jonathan Schwarz, their son and his wife, Jason and Jenny Hohman and their grandchildren Ashlyn Schwarz, Camden Schwarz, Jaylie Hohman and Jonas Hohman.


Joigny and Maxon

Aurore A. Joigny and Casey T. Maxon are proud to announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Christian and Martine Joigny of Deuil-la-Barre, France. She received a bachelor degree in Graphic Design from McPherson College in 2013. The groom-to-be is the son of Kevin and Cathy Maxon of Lawrence, KS. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 2009 and from McPherson College in 2013 with a bachelor degree in History and Automotive Restoration. The wedding will be held this fall in Lawrence, KS.


Green and Richards

Amanda Richards and Matthew Green, were married on June 21, 2014, in the Crystal Ballroom at The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence, Kansas, with Margie Wakefield officiating. The bride is the daughter of Tammy and David Marcum, Olathe and Paul and Lisa Richards, Gardner. The groom is the son of Tom and Patti Green, Lawrence. Maid of Honor was Samantha Richards, sister of the bride. Best Man was Casey Green, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Richards, Holly Green, Jennifer Toman, Kelsey Pinnick and Danielle Bechard. Groomsmen were Paul Richards, Brady Morningstar, Daniel Pike, Robert Underwood, David Freeman and Brennan Bechard. A reception was held at the W Banquet Hall. Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Lawrence with their wire-haired terrier Razzle.
