John and Suzi Gottstein were married September 20, 1964. Their children will be hosting a celebration for their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 31, at the Lodge in Baldwin, City, KS from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. They invite all family and friends to celebrate with them. The couple requests no gifts please.



Gaylord and Phoebe Schneck, were married August 22, 1954, in Lawrence, KS. They are celebrating 60 years of marriage. They have two children; Julie Petesch and Michael Schneck, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. An immediate family dinner is planned.


Walters and Hulse

Serenity Walters of Lawrence will be marrying the love of her life, George Hulse of Independence, Missouri on October 3, 2015 in Lawence. The future bride is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High and a 2014 graduate from National American University. The future Groom is a life long resident of Independence. He is an accomplished Tattoo Artist and Mechanic.


Puckett and Hurd

Dennis and Heidi Puckett of Urbandale, Iowa, and Todd and Peggy Hurd of Perry, Kansas, announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Kelsey Puckett and Logan Hurd on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Chrisman Manor, Oskaloosa, Kansas. Kelsey is a graduate of Urbandale High School and Z Hair Academy in Lawrence, Kansas. She is employed at Dash Salon and Day Spa, Lawrence. Logan is a graduate of Perry Lecompton High School and attended Washburn Tech in Topeka, Kansas. He is employed at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka. The couple will reside in their new home in Perry, Kansas


Mohr and Kring

Christina Mohr and Tyler Kring were united in marriage on March 1, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, KS with Reverend Mitch Todd officiating. Christina is the daughter of Rod and Susie Mohr, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Brit & Lisa Kring and Kirsten & Mack Price, all of Lawrence. The maid of honor was Meaghan Travis, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were; Jordan Burge, friend of the bride and Elizabeth Haire, Katherine Mohr, and Veronica Bahret, sisters of the bride. The best man was Connor Kring, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Chris Landis, Joe Vannicola, Brent Ott, and Blair Bahret, friends of the groom. Flower girls were Hannah and Caroline Kring, sisters of the groom; ring bearer was Liam Price, nephew of the groom. The bride graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with a degree in Political Science. She is employed as an analyst by Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. The groom graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with degrees in Economics and Anthropology. He is employed as an underwriting analyst by MetLife, Inc. in Kansas City. The couple resides in Lawrence.


Saathoff and Brost

Rachelle Lea Saathoff and Brian Joseph Brost were married June 28, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, KS. Pastor Tom Brady, officiated. A reception was held at Abe and Jakes Landing. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Sheryl Saathoff, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Jim and Jean Brost, Minnesota. Maid of honors were Renae Walters and Becky Saathoff. Best man was Riley Brost. Bridesmaids were Kelly Brost, Laura Brost, Lesley Belt, Nicole Jones, Marie Payne, Jenna Ericsson, Devon Berke, Jordan Lisher, Chelsea Veire and Danielle Jehle. Groomsmen were Chris Brost, Nick Walters, Andrew Visintine, Doug Tucker and Clint Brown. Ushers were Austin Newell, Anthony Inveen and Danny Stevens. Personal attendants were Amanda Bjork and Beth Shomin. The flower girl was Harper Brost and the ring bearer was Riggs Walters. The bride and groom honeymooned in Costa Rica before returning to Minnetonka, MN where they reside.
