Gary and Harriett Hamon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 22nd. They were married in Effingham, Kansas in 1963 and have lived in Lawrence since 1989. They own Capital Belt & Supply, Inc. in Topeka and are both still active in the business along with their two sons, Troy and Travis. They have four granddaughters, Miranda, Mikayla, Tory and Tegan and daughter-in-laws, Amanda (Martin) Hamon and Jennifer (Stanwick) Hamon. No reception is planned. Thomas Andrew Parrish and Weatherly Danielle Butler were married September 22, 2012 at Corpus Christi Church in Lawrence, KS. Msgr. Vince Krische officiated. The bride is the daughter of John and Kristi Butler, Lawrence, KS. The groom is the son of Brenda and Rob Parrish, Lawrence, KS. The matron of honor was Kathryn Hart, maid of honor was Alyson Butler, and bridesmaid was Sarah Parrish. Best man was Josh Byrnes, and groomsmen were T.R. Reese and Jordan Grosksurth. A reception, dinner, and dance followed at Maceli’s. The bride graduated from Free State High School in 2007. She graduated from K-State in 2012 with a Masters in Business. She is employed by Target in the management program in Wichita. The groom graduated from Free State High School in 2007. He graduated from K-State in 2011 with a chemical engineer degree. He is employed as a process engineer with Oxy-Chem in Wichita. The couple resides in Derby.
Hyler and Vahsholtz
Eric and Linda Hyler, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Brooke Hyler to Jesse Esser Vahsholtz both of Tampa, Florida. The future bride graduated from Lawrence High School in 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Kansas State University in 2009. She is a Merchandising Associate and in-store Designer at Crate and Barrel and does free-lance graphic design work. The future groom is the son of Dennis and Annetta Vahsholtz of Herington, Kansas. He is a 2000 graduate of Herington High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communications from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas in 2005. He is an Account Supervisor at PP+K, Inc., an advertising agency in Tampa, and a co-owner of Millennium Golf Discs. The couple plans a September 1, 2013, wedding in Lawrence.

Michael and Carol Deaver of Garden City announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Grace Deaver to Adam Oliver Keith Lauridsen. He is the son of Lee and Cathy Lauridsen of Lawrence. The bride to be is the granddaughter of Ruth Richards and the late Harvey Richards of Garden City and Leroy and Dorothy Deaver of Clay Center. Her fiance is the grandson of Eva and the late Clyde Cramer of Lawrence and Louise and the late Lamonte Lauridsen of Baldwin. The bride to be graduated from Garden City High School in 2009 and from the University of Kansas in 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She is an executive assistant at The Professional Renewal Center, Lawrence. Her fiancé is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor of arts degree in French. He is a program director at Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. The wedding is planned for November 2, 2013 at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.
