Clinton and Janelle Johnston celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 30. They were married in Lawrence KS at Calvary Temple in 1988. They have 2 children: Christopher Johnston, of Lawrence KS and Cameron Johnston, Baldwin City. They currently reside in Baldwin City, where they have lived for 22 years and have enjoyed many happy years together. Joey is an Art Director at Barton F. Graf 9000, an advertising agency in New York City. The wedding will be held at The Castle Tea Room, Lawrence, KS on September 1st.
Archie and Marilyn Noble were married on August 10, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Lawrence, Kansas. Archie retired from Roberts Dairy after 38 years and is currently employed at Perry Middle School, USD 343. Marilyn owned the Oskaloosa Flower Shop for 15 years and retired in 2007. They have four children, Cindy Noble, Kansas City, Debra Noble, Lawrence, Laura Claxton (Cory), Oskaloosa and Michael Noble, Winchester. They have three grandchildren, Carter Claxton, Hunter Claxton and Lexi Noble. Their children are honoring them with a reception on August 10, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, 402 Liberty Street in Oskaloosa, Kansas from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with us.

The bride, daughter of Tom & Lisa Stofac of Lawrence, is a graduate of Baker University’s School of Nursing and a labor and delivery nurse at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. The groom, son of Kirk & Cindy Dickenson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a graduate of Baker University. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. The maid of honor was Kellie Stofac, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Holly Thames, Kelly Hefner, Alyssa Rudman, Ashley Estrada and Maci Lindsey. Special attendants were Amanda Edelman and Lindsay Ellis. The flower girl was the groom’s niece, Audrey Hefner. The best man was Steve Falconi, the groom’s best friend. Groomsmen were Blake Thames, Jeremy Hefner, David (Coop) Cooper, Michael Morefield and Jeff Milton. The ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Ryan Hefner. The reception took place at Pachamama’s Alton Ballroom in Lawrence. After a honeymoon trip to Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri, the couple is residing in Kansas City.

Gay Anne Galbraith and Michael John Doudoroff were married August 17, 1963 in San Marino, California. They lived for two years in Menlo Park, CA while Michael completed graduate studies and Gay taught high school. They moved to Lawrence in 1965 when Michael joined the KU Department of Spanish & Portuguese. Gay has served as a volunteer in various organizations, particularly Headquarters Counseling Center. Their son Martin, a 1989 LHS graduate, and daughter-in-law Sandy live in New York City.
Eric J. and Amy Gruber recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a fantastic, week-long road trip to Eureka Springs and Little Rock, Ark. The couple married July 26, 2003, at Christ Community Church, Lawrence, Kan. They have two daughters: Ember, 6; and Remi, 4. Eric is a web developer for the City of Olathe, Kan., and also an author for O’Reilly Media. Amy teaches at her own preschool, Tiny Tykes Playcare, which is ran out of the couple’s home in Lawrence.

Beverly Byron Delaney and Delores Tillie Soendker were married on August 21, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, by the Rev. Ralph Roland. The couple lived in Kansas City until they moved to Lawrence in 2012. Delores is a native of Wellington, MO, and graduated from Wellington-Napoleon High School. Prior to marriage, Delores worked at Peck’s Department Store in Kansas City. Byron graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, KY. He worked as an accountant, and retired from the City of Kansas City, MO. Shawn and Cindy Mick of Eudora observed their 25th wedding anniversary this month. Mr. and Mrs. Mick were married at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence on August 13, 1988. The couple has four children: Christine, 21; Tim, 19; Zach, 16; Matt, 15.

Dr. Henry W. (Bill) Buck, Jr. and Barbara Mallory were married Sept. 6, 1963 in Kansas City. Upon Bill’s completion of residency at KUMC in 1965 they lived at Westover AFB, MA for 2 years, then Lawrence since 1967. Bill was in private practice of OB-Gyn for 20 years before being Head of Gynecology at Watkins Memorial Health Center at KU for 18 years. He was a Task Force Chair in the American College Health Association for 14 years. Barbara was on the Founding Board of the Visiting Nurses Association and was on the Advisory Board of KU Natural History Museum for 2 terms. She is currently the longest serving active Docent at the Spencer Museum of Art at KU. Their children are Mallory Bryan (Dave), rural Lawrence, and Andrew Buck (Trish), Kansas City. Their grandchildren are Grant, Lauren and Jessica. They will celebrate the Anniversary with family.

Danny and Becky (McArthur) McMillen of Baldwin City, were married August 30th, 1963 at the Danforth Chapel in Lawrence, Kansas. Danny retired from Lawrence Hallmark Cards and Becky is retired from children’s programming at Baldwin City Library. They were also owners of the Lonesome Pine Greenhouse for many years. Danny and Becky are active members in their community and church. The couple have two sons, Todd (Barbara) Sanford, North Carolina and Steve (Marla) LaGrange, Kentucky and five grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica), Bethany, Jacqueline, Jordan, Trevor, and Tim and Brian Boos.
