Emma “Jackie” and Robert “Bob” Erickson Sr., Perry, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with family at a later date. The couple were married Sept. 27, 1941, in Wyoming. Jackie attended school in Decatur, Neb., and Bob attended school in Fremont, Neb. Bob worked construction and owned Erickson Trucking and Seeding Co. until retirement. They have a daughter, Lori Kukuk, McLouth, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and two sons, the late Robert Erickson Jr. and Ronald Erickson. Bob and Louise Howard, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner and a trip to the Panama Canal later this month. The couple were married Oct. 6, 1961, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence. Bob retired from FMC Corp. in Lawrence, after 35 years. Louise retired from JCPenney in Lawrence after 18 years. They have two sons, Gary and daughter-in-law, Lisa, Baldwin City, and Bruce and daughter-in-law, Debi, Eudora; and four grandchildren.
