Linda is employed by Kansas University, where she has 43 years of state service. They have a daughter, Julie, Lawrence; and a son, Jared, of rural Overbrook. The couple request no gifts.

Edgar Klotz and Marjean Macey were married April 29, 1951, at the Otterbein Church in Topeka with the Rev. Allen Kellogg officiating. Eddie retired from Ed Marling’s after 38 years. Marjean retired from USD 497 after 15 years and Ed Marling’s after six years. They have four children, Connie and Don Van Horne, Las Vegas; Allen and Ariana Klotz, Murphy, Texas; Craig Klotz, Lawrence; and Robert Klotz, Kissimmee, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
