Erin Elizabeth Berner, Lawrence, and Kyle Elliot Newell, Oskaloosa, were married Oct. 15, 2010, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. John Schmeidler officiating. The bride is the daughter of Terry and JoAnn Berner, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Ken Newell, Oskaloosa, and Susan Newell, Meriden. Maid of honor was Jessica Luman. Best man was Travis Newell. Bridesmaids were Megan Quaney, Mandi Stebbins, Tara Johnson and Whitney Bryant. Junior bridesmaid was Grace Bartle. Groomsmen were Todd Newell, Caleb Noll, Corey Weishaar and Brad Griffitts. Ushers were Matt Berner, Justin Newell and Ryan Newell. Flower girls were Hadley Houk, Violet Bartle, Kate Bartle, Addison Butler and Jacie Butler. Personal attendant was Randi Berner. A reception was given at Abe and Jake’s Landing. The couple reside in Winchester.
Ross and Lauber
Steve and Deanna Ross and Mark and Kim Lauber, all of Eudora, announce the engagement of their children, Mallory Ross and Ryan Lauber, both of Eudora. The future bride graduated from Eudora High School in 2004 and is an activity director at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community. The future groom graduated from Eudora High in 2002. He earned an associates degree from Johnson County Community College and is a Motorcycle/ATV/Jet Ski mechanic at Kaw Valley Industrial. The couple plan an April 30, 2011, wedding at Eudora United Methodist Church.
Reinhard and Griffith
Christine Reinhard, Twinsburg, Ohio, formerly of Lawrence, announces the engagement of her daughter, Milly Reinhard, to Chad Griffith, both of Dallas. The future bride is also the daughter of the late Jeffery Reinhard. She is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 2002 graduate of Kansas University. She is a third-year law student at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and will graduate with a juris doctorate in May 2011. The future groom is the son of Kenneth Griffith, Dallas, and Sharon Griffith, Denton, Texas. He is a 1998 graduate of Norman High School in Norman, Okla. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2002, earned a juris doctorate in 2005, also from OU, and is employed at Hunt Oil in Dallas. The couple plan a Dec. 18, 2010, wedding in Dallas.
Bohardt and Reanier
Holly Bohardt, Lawrence, and Patrick Reanier, Fort Leavenworth, announce their engagement. The future bride is the daughter of Carol Ball, Lawrence, and the late John Ball. She is a graduate of Baldwin High School, earned a master’s degree in education from Kansas University, and is a fifth-grade teacher at Eudora Elementary School. The future groom is the son of Burton Reanier, Everett, Wash., and Carol Reanier, Bainbridge Island, Wash. He is a graduate of Inglemoor High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Washington, a master’s degree in geographic information science from the University of London, and is a major in the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. The couple plan a March 12, 2011, wedding at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University.
Stebbins and Berner
Arliss and Kay Stebbins, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandi Stebbins, to Matt Berner, both of Lawrence. The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Free State High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas University in 2007. She is currently attending KU Medical Center and will graduate a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May 2011. The future groom is the son of Terry and JoAnn Berner, Lawrence. He is also a 2003 graduate of FSHS and earned bachelor’s degree in history from KU in 2008. He is currently studying for an emergency medical technician license at Metropolitan Community College and employed by Ad Astra Painting Company. The couple plan a March 12, 2011, wedding in Edgerton.
Valdes and Plooster
Natasha Valdes, Lawrence, and Matt Plooster, Lincoln, Neb., were married June 5, 2010, in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the groom’s parents, near Malcolm, Neb., with the Rev. Don Myer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Biff and Marina Johnson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Dr. Roger and Julia Plooster, Malcolm. Maid of honor was Andrea Sinacola. Best man was Greg Plooster. A reception followed at the home of the groom’s parents. The bride graduated from Free State High School and earned an engineering degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She has worked in investment banking and private equity. The groom graduated from Mount Michael Benedictine High School and earned an economics degree from the University of Chicago. He works in investment banking and venture capital. The couple recently relocated from Chicago and divide their time between Iowa and Nebraska.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Patty Cole, Wichita. The groom is the son of Galen and Jeanette Weber, Lawrence. Maid of honor was Amy Hearting. Best man was Brandon Weber. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Arribas, Bonnie Cheung, Annie Haverlah and Kristi Uhlschmidt. Groomsmen were Tyler Fike, Spencer Hilt, Josh Swenson and Ben Tomlin. A reception was given at Maceli’s. The bride is senior accounting analyst at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City. The groom is a senior associate in the tax department at CBIZ in Leawood. The couple resides in Olathe.
