He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from KU and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia. He is a product manager at Spalding. The couple plan a June 5, 2010, wedding in Lawrence.

She is an environmental engineer at Underwriters Laboratories. The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Iowa State and is a software engineer at Stats, LLC. The couple reside in Schaumburg, Ill.
Billy and Elaine Rogers, Wellsville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 2 p.m. Sunday at 14516 S. Alden St., Olathe. Billy F. Rogers and Elaine Hickock were married Feb. 26, 1960, in Lawrence. He is a retired electrician for Kansas Power and Light. The couple have two sons, Alan, Hutchinson, and Bruce, Broken Arrow, Okla.; three daughters, Tami Lucas, Edmond, Okla., Anita Rogers, Wellsville, and Angela Wright, Olathe; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
