Hickman and Catlin
Kelley Lynn Hickman and John Harley Catlin were married Sept. 29, 2007, at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University, with James Clark officiating. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Marge Hickman, Leadville, Colo., and James and Shelley Clark, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Harley and Jerree Catlin, Lawrence. Bride's attendants were Courtney Meyer and Scott Hickman. Groom's attendants were Ryan Catlin and Leslie Maggiore. Ushers were Cooper Catlin and Graham Meyer. Ring bearer was Bobby Maggiore. Flower girls were Kate Maggiore and Maile Hickman. A reception followed at Pachamama's in downtown Lawrence. The couple graduated from Lawrence High School in 1993. Kelley graduated from Kansas University in 1998 and the KU School of Law in 2005. She is an attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. John attended the University of Colorado and graduated from KU in 1997. He is pursuing a graduate degree at Washburn University. The couple reside in Lawrence.
Gray and Stein
Alexandra Stein and Jay Gray were married May 5, 2007, at Christ Community Church in Lawrence, with Pastors Paul Gray and Brandon White officiating. The bride is the daughter of Raphael Stein, San Diego, and Catherine Weidenbach, Wichita. The groom is the son of Paul and Kitsy Gray, Lawrence. Maid of honor was Jessica Stein. Best man was Ken Chang. Bridesmaids were Jody White, Tacy Fleury, Lindsey George, Laura Fleming and Kelly Paprota. Groomsmen were Orion Kinkaid, Rusty Wright, Carlos Espinoza, Berrigan Willmott and Chris Jones. Flower girls were Emily and Amy Nystrom. Ring bearer was John Rock Nystrom. Candlelighters were Nicole Moody and Stephanie Nystrom. Readers were Morgan Scott and Mandy Beck. Ushers were Christian Moody, Stephen Vinson, Evan Toren and Pat Shehan. Program attendants were Anna Vinson and Becca Hurd. Singers were Anna Hosek, Kyle Rabe and Jen Relph. Pianist was Leigh Fleury. A reception was given at Alvamar Country Club. Alexandra graduated from Wichita High School East in 2001 and from Kansas University in 2006. She is a paraeducator at Langston Hughes School in Lawrence. Jay graduated from Lawrence High School in 2001 and from KU in 2006. He is employed as a motion graphics designer. The couple reside in Lawrence.
Seibel and Garner
Lana Seibel and Jamey Garner were married July 22, 2007, at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, with Dennie Oades-Souther officiating. The bride is the daughter of David and Verla Seibel, Ellis. The groom is the son of Karen Minter, Kansas City, Mo. Bridesmaids were Kristi Koch, Bobbi Brantley, Lora Gottschalk, Natalie Fischer and Courtney Martin. Groomsmen were Stefan Gutow, Bobby Riss, John Thorne, Nathan Shull and Billy Perry. Flower girl was Morgan Fischer. Ring bearer was Samuel Minter. Ushers were Ty Smith, Matt Cates and John Dickinson. A reception followed at Liberty Hall. Lana graduated from Ellis High School in 1996 and received a Bachelor of Science in speech-language pathology from Fort Hays State University in 2000. She received a Master of Arts in speech-language pathology from Kansas University in 2003. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist for Lawrence public schools. Jamey is a 1992 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village. He received a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, in 1996, and a medical degree from the KU School of Medicine in 2000. He is employed by Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Mo. The couple reside in Lawrence.
Braaten and Green
Alysia Braaten and Jason Green were married Aug. 4, 2007, at Woods Chapel Bible Fellowship Church in Blue Springs, Mo., with Pastor Rodger Williams officiating. The bride is the daughter of Paul and Sharon Braaten, Lee's Summit, Mo. The groom is the son of Robert and Joyce Green, Ottawa. Maid of honor was Erica Braaten, and matron of honor was Melissa Allen. Best men were Bart Baldwin and Clint Kueffer. Bridesmaids were Amanda Braaten, Jessica Foley, Emily Love, Betsy Pribula and Madeleine Gaskill. Groomsmen were Chet Kueffer, Jim Sluga, Josh Melcher, Nick Johnson and Dylan Snyder. Ring bearer was Noah Parvin. Flower girl was Emily Suiter. A reception followed in the ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, Mo. Alysia received a degree in Christian counseling from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. She is employed by the institute. Jason graduated from Kansas University and is a certified inspector in the ready-mixed concrete business. The couple reside in Chicago.
