Daniel received a degree in political science from Kansas State University in 2004. He is pursuing a law degree at Washburn University. Dawson and Trotter
Dennis and Linda Trotter, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dawn Leann Trotter, Law-rence, to Christopher Powell Dawson, Lecompton, son of Rockleigh and Polly Dawson, Houston. Dawn graduated from Lawrence High School and Kansas University, where she was a member of the Crimson Girls dance team. She is employed by Forest Pharmaceuticals. Chris graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he played football. He is employed by the KU athletics department. The couple plan a January 2008 wedding in the Cayman Islands.

Von and Beverly Edman, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Edman, to Eric Dunlap, both of Queen Creek, Ariz. The future groom is the son of Thomas Dunlap, Portsmouth, R.I., and Jane Dunlap, Lee's Summit, Mo. Kelli graduated from Free State High School in 2001 and attended Kansas University. Eric graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 2000 and Kansas University in 2005. He owns and operates a real estate investment firm, where Kelli also works. Gaus and Lowrance-Floyd
Emily Lowrance-Floyd and Matthew Gaus, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement. The future bride is the daughter of Martin Floyd and Becky Lowrance, and the future groom is the son of Phil and Gail Gaus, all of Lawrence. Emily graduated from Lawrence High School in 1998. She received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Carleton College in 2002 and a Master of Arts in history from Kansas University in 2006. She is pursuing a doctorate in history at KU. Matthew graduated from LHS in 1997 and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from KU in 2001. He also received a juris doctorate from KU in 2006. He is an attorney at Thompson Ramsdell & Qualseth P.A. in Lawrence. The couple plan a Jan. 19, 2008, wedding at Liberty Hall in Lawrence.
Oxandale-Turrentine Susan Oxandale and Michael Turrentine were married Oct. 6, 2007, at Plymouth Congregational Church, in Lawrence, with the Rev. Peter Luckey officiating. The bride is the daughter of Molly Mulloy, Lawrence, and the late Richard Oxandale. The groom is the son of James and Carol Turrentine, Lawrence. The maid of honor was Catherine St. John. Best man was John Hortenstine. Bridesmaids were Annette Evans, Gwynne Evans and Remon Ginsburg. Groomsmen were Clayton Turrentine, Ed Turrentine and David Oxandale. Steven Mah walked the bride down the aisle. A reception followed at the church. The couple graduated from Lawrence High School in 1994. Susan graduated from Johnson County Community College in 2001 and Fort Hays State University in 2003. She is employed as a supervisor at Sprint. Michael graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2000. He is employed as a mechanical engineer at Fort Bliss in Texas. The couple reside in El Paso, Texas.
Kim Bedford and Fred Campbell were married Aug. 4, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Carroll, Iowa, with Ken Ferguson officiating. The bride is the daughter of Harold and Carol Meiners, Dedham, Iowa. The groom is the son of David and Marjorie Campbell, Weatherby, Mo. Maid of honor was Samantha Bedford. Best man was Mike Schaefer. Bridesmaids were Deb Hunke, Tami Larson, Jen Razee and Susan Seilnacht. Groomsmen were Eric Rasys, Jeff Thornton, Brian Larson, Bill Seilnacht and Ryan Bedford. A reception was given at the American Legion Hall in Carroll. Kim graduated from Kuemper High School and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Iowa. She is employed as a registered nurse in the home health department at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Fred graduated from Union Star High School in Union Star, Mo.,and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is employed as the engineering manager at VeraSun Energy in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He also lived and worked in Lawrence from 2000 to 2007. The couple reside in Carroll.

Alicia Keller and Brandon Cromwell were married Sept. 1, 2007, in Overland Park, with Chris Winn officiating. The bride is the daughter of Russell Keller, Lenexa, and Betty Popa, Fairfax Station, Va. She graduated from Med Tech in Alexandria, Va., and is employed as a certified medical assistant for HCA in Overland Park. Brandon graduated from Lawrence High School and is employed as a detailer for Excelerate Automotive Solutions. The couple reside in Overland Park.
