Rahmeier and Lampe
Anne Lampe and Nathan Rahmeier were married Oct. 28, 2006, at the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, with the Rev. Yolanda Villa officiating. Anne is the daughter of Les and Karen Lampe. Nathan is the son of Bob and DeAnn Rahmeier. The matron of honor was Jessica Nittler. The bridesmaids were Emily Zimmerman, Deanna Durrett, Kendall Purcell and Meghan Huslig. The best men were Jacob Rahmeier, Casey Rahmeier, Caleb Rahmeier, Brad Woods and Paul Lampe. Ushers were Riley Scott, Justin Weigel, Tyler Huslig and Cash Schilling. The couple plan to reside in Chicago after graduating from the KU School of Law in May 2007.
Todd and Jeannot Barnes Seymour, Lawrence, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Todd Seymour and Jeannot Barnes were married Feb. 9, 1957, in Birmingham, Mich. They are graduates of Kansas University. Todd is retired president of the KU Endowment Association, and Jeannot was employed as a graphic designer for KU's university relations. Since retirement, she has been active with Trinity Episcopal Church and Lawrence Memorial Hospital. They also enjoy traveling to New Mexico and Las Vegas. Their daughter is Bunny Seymour-Bierlaagh, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They have one grandson. Plans are under way for a celebration later this year.

Lou and Lorraine Hammer, Lawrence, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 9 with family and friends at a Sweetheart Banquet at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence. They were married Feb. 9, 1947, at the Lutheran church in Claflin. Lou retired in 1986 after 38 years as purchasing agent at the Lawrence Paper Co. Lorraine retired in 1989 after 35 years in the department of physiology and cell biology at Kansas University.

Duaine and Donalda Lindholm, Worden, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 at Worden United Methodist Church, 294 E. 900 Road. Laurel Duaine Lindholm and Donalda Mae Hobson were married Feb. 24, 1947, in the church parsonage at Worden. They have lived in the Worden area all of their married life. Their daughters, Terrie Lindholm and Connie Taylor, will host the open house. Their oldest daughter, Cheryl, died of breast cancer in August 2002. Duaine and Donalda have five grandchildren and eight great-grandsons. The couple request no gifts.
Pete and Arlene Lawson, Eudora, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 at their home, 622 E. 14th Place. Their children will host the event. Pete Lawson and Arlene Westerhouse were married March 7, 1942, in the former Eudora United Methodist parsonage. Pete graduated from Eudora High School in 1941. He entered the U.S. Navy in May 1942 and served in the South Pacific for 17 months as a guard on Tinian Island, where atomic bombs were assembled. He was discharged in October 1945 and began mechanic's training for Ship Winter Chevrolet in Lawrence. He also worked for Rothberger Motor Co. and Broers Chevrolet, both in Eudora, before purchasing the building in 1962. Pete and his business partner, Ray Warmker, renamed the building Pete and Ray's Garage. After Warmker's death, the business changed to Pete's Garage, which he operated until he retired in 1975. Arlene graduated from Eudora High School in 1940 and worked for District Judge Paul Rankin at the Douglas County Courthouse for three years. She served as assistant city clerk for the city of Eudora until 1963 when she became city clerk. She retired in September 1988. Their children are Kenneth and Sharon Lawson, and John and Karen Kaye Spitzli, all of Eudora. They have four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. The couple request no gifts.
Fred and Ruth Ramseyer, Lawrence, will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary on March 1. Fred A. Ramseyer and Ruth Arlene Metsinger were married March 1, 1939, in Lamar, Mo.
