She is employed at Vangent Government Solutions in Lawrence. The groom graduated from Lawrence High School in 1996. He is employed as a sports field manager by the city of Olathe. The couple reside in Eudora.
Lyle E. and Faye Young, Lawrence, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering for their family on April 8 at their home. Lyle Young and Faye Hysell were married on April 10, 1947, at Ellsworth Presbyterian Church. They have lived in Lawrence since 1955. Lyle was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1984. Faye served in the Cadet Nurses Corps and graduated from the Ellsworth School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She worked for the Reed Medical Group for 17 years and retired in 1984. Their children are Bob Young and wife Sherry, Topeka; and Barbara Innes and husband Bob, Overland Park. They have four grandchildren.
Gary Lee and Linda Rose Elston, Lawrence, are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. They were married on April 27, 1962, in Lawrence. Gary worked for Aquila Inc. and is retired. Their children are Cheryl Nunn, Spring Hill; Mark Elston and wife Cheryll, Baldwin City; and Kim Elston, Lawrence. The couple request no gifts.

Patrick is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended KU and received a degree in construction management from Johnson County Community College in 2005. He is employed as a job superintendent for Gene Fritzel Construction. The couple plan a July 7, 2007, wedding in Naples, Fla.
