Gray and Peters

Nizam and Robin Peters and Patricia Gray, all of Florida, announce the engagement of their children, Shikira Robin Peters and Travis Scott Gray, both of Florida. The bride-to-be earned a degree in microbiology from Florida Atlantic University in 2006. The future groom is operations coordinator at General Contractor. The couple plan a Dec. 29, 2006, wedding at Delray Country Club, Delray Beach, Fla. Shikira is the granddaughter of Donald and Willa Sawyer, Baldwin.


Kesinger and Ehling

Michael and Lori Ehling, Pittsburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Ehling, Baldwin, to Joel Kesinger, Baldwin, son of Kent and Jane Kesinger, Baldwin. The bride-to-be graduated from Frontenac High School in 1998 and earned an associate's degree in applied science from Colby College. She is a registered veterinary technician at Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital. The future groom graduated from Baldwin High School in 2000 and attended Fort Scott Community College. He is a warehouse manager at IDI Distributors Inc. in Lenexa. The couple plan a Feb. 3, 2007, wedding at Osborne Chapel, Baker University.



Eldon and Isabel Adams, Ozawkie, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at Branded B Ranch, Meriden. They were married Oct. 31, 1956, in Topeka. Isabel retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in Topeka after 34 years and is now a substitute mail carrier in Meriden. Eldon has farmed all his life and worked at Santa Fe Railway in Topeka for nearly 30 years. The couple remain active in 4-H, Eastern Star and Masons. Hosts for the reception will be their children, Debbie Adams, Ozawkie, Chris and Susan Adams, Meriden, Amy and Bill Mitchell, Ozawkie, Brian and Stacie Adams, Meriden, and Vicki and Jason Dressler, Topeka. The couple have 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.



Devon L. Reynolds and Aaron P. Braddy were married May 20, 2006, outdoors at the Barton County 4-H Building in Great Bend, with Don Paden officiating. The bride is the daughter of Harold and Tina Reynolds, Hoisington. The groom is the son of Garry Braddy, Lawrence, and Barb Braddy, Seward. Matron of honor was Rachel Laymon. Best man was Ryan Elsen. Bridesmaid was Mindy Reynolds. Groomsman was Derrick Reynolds. Junior bridesmaid was Kandice Hamor. Flower girl was Kylie Winholtz. Ring bearers were Micheal Laymon and William Laymon. Ushers were William "Bucky" Fields and Chuck Christens. A reception followed at the 4-H Building. The bride graduated from Hoisington High School and is employed at Town & Country Supermarket. The groom graduated from St. John High School and is employed at Roto-Mix and Town & Country Supermarket. The couple reside in Hoisington.


Potter and Sue Hartford

Kelli Hartford and Jonathon Potter were married Aug. 26, 2006, at the Helemano Community Chapel, Oahu, Hawaii, with U.S. Army Chaplain Raymond L. Estes officiating. The bride is the daughter of Randall and Myrna Hartford, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Dirk and Eva Potter, Little Rock, Ark. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School. The groom graduated from Free State in 2003. He serves in the U.S. Army. The couple reside in Wahiawa, Hawaii.


Paradise and Miller

Jill Paradise and Jeff Miller were married Sept. 30, 2006, in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, with Mary Bartolucci officiating. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Nancie Paradise, Overland Park, and Caylen and Mike Vickers, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Charles and Christine Miller, Leawood. Maid of honor was Nick Paradise. Best man was Kelly Miller. Ring bearer was Riley Paradise. A reception was given Oct. 6 at Lake Quivira Country Club. The bride graduated from Lawrence High School and earned a bachelor's degree in advertising at Kansas State University. She works for Delta Air Lines. The groom graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School and earned a bachelor's degree in communications at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He works at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The couple reside in Boston.
