The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School and is attending Kansas University. He is a member of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps. The couple plan a May 2007 wedding in Independence.

The bride-to-be graduated from Lawrence High School in 1988. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management through the University of Phoenix. She is employed by Honeywell International in Phoenix. The future groom graduated from Tri-County High School, Wolcott, in 1993, and from Purdue University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in business management. He is employed by Honeywell International in South Bend, Ind. The couple plan a summer 2007 wedding.
Shannon Lehman and Jason Andrews were married June 24, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Gary Teske officiating. The bride is the daughter of Don and Gretchen Lehman, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Kenny and Fran Andrews, Liberal. Maid of honor was Suzanne Bidwell. Best man was Ryan Steen. Bridesmaids were Michelle Miles, Jennifer Wierwille, Jennifer Greer and Jamie West. Groomsmen were Matt Steen, Joe Carillo, Mike Greer and Mark West. Morgan West was flower girl. Dakota Wierwille was ring bearer. Amelie Kobler and Emma Bayless were candlelighters. Ushers were Josh Andrews and Justin Andrews. Soloist was Elisa Denning. Reception host and hostess were Toby and Elisa Denning. A reception was given at Maceli's. The bride graduated from Lawrence High School in 1997 and from Neosho County Community College School of Nursing in 2001. She is employed at Lawrence Memorial Hospital's Wound Care Center. The groom graduated from Liberal High School in 1997. He received a bachelor's degree in social welfare and psychology from Kansas University in 2004. He is employed at BNSF Railroad. The couple reside in Lawrence.
Norman and Margaret "Peggy" Bartlett, Lawrence, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. Peggy Elston and Norman Bartlett were married Oct. 17, 1946, in Lawrence. Norman is retired from FMC Corp., and Peggy retired from the Lawrence school district. Their children are Gary Bartlett and Gaylene Beatty. The couple request no gifts.
J.C. and Jill Johnson, Eudora, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday. Norma "Jill" Guy and John C. Johnson were married Oct. 13, 1956, in Eudora. They have one son, Jay A. Johnson, Eudora. J.C. worked as manager of CFCA Employee Credit Union at the Farmland plant in Lawrence. He retired in 2000. Jill worked at Jayhawk Trophy and Maupintour. She retired in 1998.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park. She graduated from St. Louis University in 2004 with a degree in English and a minor in mathematics. The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kansas University in 2003. They will graduate from the KU School of Law in May 2007. The couple plan an Oct. 28 wedding at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood.
Carol and David Hicks, Alpharetta, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Hicks, Lawrence, to Justin Logan, Lawrence, son of Greg and Terri Logan, Coffeyville. The bride-to-be graduated from Lafayette High School in Chesterfield, Mo., in 2003. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in architectural studies at Kansas University. She plans on earning a master's degree in architecture. The future groom graduated from Labette County High School in 2002. He is pursuing an aerospace engineering degree at KU and plans on working for a flight test engineering company in Lawrence. The couple plan a July 7, 2007, wedding in Lawrence.
