The groom is a 1988 graduate of Shikellamy High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1993 from the University of Georgia. He is employed as director of undergraduate programs for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. The couple reside in Athens.

He received a master's degree in 2004 from the University of Colorado. He is a sales and support manager for the Core Logic Group at Agilent Technologies in Colorado Springs. Norman and Darlene Musick, Eudora, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family gathering this spring. Norman Musick and Darlene Workman were married Jan. 12, 1957, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence. Norman graduated from Lawrence High School and retired in 2003 as service manager for Deems Farm Equipment after 43 years. Darlene also graduated from LHS and was assistant vice president at Kaw Valley Bank, Eudora, for 38 years. She retired in 2002. Their children are Candace Dardis, Marietta, Ga.; and Jeanette Born and Susan Carnagie, both of Eudora. They have seven grandchildren. The couple request no gifts.
Owen and Connie Spitz, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a celebration Dec. 20 in Key West, Fla. Owen Spitz and Connie Bosze were married Dec. 20, 1956, in Lawrence. Owen graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, Mo. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Kansas University in engineering. He retired from the Kansas Geological Survey in 1998 after 33 years of service. Connie graduated from Lawrence High School and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in art education from KU. She taught at Central Junior High School for 25 years and retired in 1998. Their children are Bill and Julie Spitz of Dallas, Ann Spitz of Lawrence, and John and Erin Spitz of Wichita.
Loyd and Colleen Wilson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 14 at the home of their eldest daughter, Linda Wilson Davis. The Wilsons were married Jan. 17, 1947. The couple made their home in Lawrence for many years before retiring in Topeka. Their children are Linda Davis, Lynn Shultz and Penny Tuckel.
