George and Frances Goff, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at their home, 1044 E. 1200 Road. George Goff and Frances Lynn were married Dec. 11, 1956. George was employed by All Star Dairy for seven years and by FMC for 33 years, retiring as shift supervisor. Frances retired from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after 23 years. Their children are George and Barb Goff, Baldwin; Vicki Goff Miller and husband, John, Lawrence; and Sheron Eaden, Topeka. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bill and Elizabeth Stephens, Lawrence, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family gatherings at a buffet Nov. 18 at the Eldridge Hotel, a barbecue luncheon Nov. 19 at their home, and a reception for family and the congregation Nov. 19 at Trinity Episcopal Church. They were married Nov. 19, 1946, at the Presbyterian church in Denton, Texas, and have lived in Lawrence for 40 years. Bill served in the Navy during World War II and worked for the Reuter Organ Co. and independently as an organ builder and technician. Elizabeth retired from the Kansas University Libraries and has been organist at Trinity Church for 35 years. Their children are Jay and Marilyn Stephens, Honey Grove, Texas; Cecily and Bob Overby, Pittsburg; Guy and Janet Stephens, Aurora, Ill.; Shirley and Stu Mock, Golden, Colo.; and Amy Monroy, Kansas City, Kan. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
